The Government has been dealt a huge blow after losing its case at the highest court in the land as Supreme Court after judges ruled plans to send asylum seekers to Rwanda as illegal. The judges cited Rwanda's 'poor human rights record' and apparent 'misunderstandings of its obligations' amongst their reasons for making the decision. The ruling is a crushing blow to the conservative party which has left part of its asylum seekers policy in tatters. The deal was a crucial part of the governments plans to deal with the rise in illegal channel crossings. Meanwhile 'sacked' former home secretary Suella Braverman has warned of a betrayal by PM Rishi Sunak to stop the crossings. Accusing the PM of having no credible Plan B. A source within the government has said that the PM is considering the next steps.
