Thousands of protestors gathered outside of the BBC's MedaCityUK Headquarters yesterday to demonstrate over the corporations coverage of the events which are currently unfolding in Gaza. The peaceful protest was among a number of events which had been planned around the country. Speeches were made before the group undertook a march through and around Salford Quays. The protests have been claimed to have been the largest march for Palestinian rights ever held within the UK. Protestors chanted 'Free Palestine' and 'Shame On You' which was aimed at the BBC. A large police presence was on hand in case of any issues but there were none aside from one individual who climbed the millennium bridge waving a flag. You can find photos of the event courtesy of community reporter John 'Defo' Catterall in our online gallery. The BBC declined to make comment on the peaceful protest.
