The Polling stations are open until 10pm this evening as Salford's Quays ward goes to the polls following the stepping down of former Liberal Democrat councillor Alex Warren who left to take up a position within Watford Council towards the end of last year. The by-election is a three way race with the following candidates running for the coveted council seat. Paul Heilbron - Liberal Democrats Elizabeth McCoy - Labour Party Romero O'Brien - Green Party Polling booths will remain open during the usual times of 7am until 10pm with the results being announced around midnight. Please note, you will need a valid photo ID to vote and will be unable to without one.
