Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Traffic Unit were involved in the pursuit of a stolen Hyundai vehicle on Sunday evening (3rd December). Police were in hot pursuit of the vehicle when the driver decided to open the door and abandon it, making a run for it on foot. With the aid of the forces NPAS (National Police Ariel Service) helicopter and it's sophisticated infra red tracking sensors combined with the even more sophisticated keen senses of Police Dog Tommy, he did not get to far as he was quickly was located trying to hide out in a garden shed. The man was promptly arrested and detained into custody.
