Police have confirmed that they have taped off an area of Patricroft Recreation Ground in Eccles, following the report of a serious sexual assault having taken place last night at around 8:55pm on Wednesday 24th Jan. A section of the recreation ground close to Barton Lane is the focus of the police investigation. Police say that there have been no arrests made at this stage, no further details have been given as police conduct their investigation into the incident.
