We had a meeting today with the lovely people from Forever Manchester, Lisa Kersh and Vikki Snowden both Community Builders who had read about our proposed parties for local OAPs and asked if they could help. Forever Manchester is Greater Manchester's Community Foundation, the only charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester. To our astonishment and delight they presented us with £400s worth of Morrisons Vouchers from their Great Stuff pot of money which is set up to fund community activity and we qualified! We shall hopefully split the vouchers into 40, £10 vouchers and give out 20 vouchers at each of our events in June and November this year as raffle prizes, if they can't be split we shall buy £200s worth of suitable raffle prizes for each party. This is a fantastic gesture by Forever Manchester and we can't thank you enough, we have invited Lisa and Vikki to attend the the parties and see were the money has been spent and the smiles on the faces of the people attending. Tickets will be distributed shortly through Age UK, Loaves and Fishes, Salford CVS and other local organisations.
